Ranking the States for the New Economy

A Business Week article talks about a Kauffman Foundation study that ranks states in their "New Economy" strength.  In case you're wondering, Oregon rank is #17 this year.  In 1999 we were 15.  In 2002 we were #13.  Not bad really (although this year's score is down.)  You can read an analysis from the Seattle Post Intelligencer here.  I haven't seen one from a Portland paper.
